He lived in California and Idaho before settling in Texas in the Houston area. Soon after moving to Texas, at the tender age of nine, he knew what he wanted to do for a living. He and his friends began to do their own radio shows. James would be the DJ and interview a "celebrity," played by a friend. He moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas and received a degree in Linguistics. It only took him 3.5 years to complete the program. He's smart. He'd been in radio for a few years when WJJR came a-callin'. After some tense negotiations, they agreed to his $213,608 salary demands. He is the happiest boy in the world. He is married and enjoys spending time with his wife, watching Texas Longhorn football, drinking a beer or two, laughing at the misfortune of others, sticking it to The Man, chillin' out, maxin', and relaxin' all cool.
