It seems like months when I first saw the preview for the new psychological thriller, "The Housemaid" with hot new stars, Sydney Sweeney & Amanda Seyfried! I didn't realize it at first but, "The Housemaid" is a series of books written by Freida McFadden (who's also a physician apparently). The preview literally made me think that this film would either: Be very good or it could be dreadful! It actually turned out not to be that bad! I think the film was way too long, but yet, somehow it reveals all of its cards too soon! Apparently from what I've heard from friends that have read the book, the spoiler build-up wasn't the greatest in the book either. I can't judge the book, but I can in regards to the film though. Filmmaker, Paul Feig who's mainly known for comedies like "Bridesmaids", the 2016 "Ghostbusters" does his best with his first serious thriller and does an OK job, but one wishes a more experience suspense filmmaker helmed this as the execution doesn't satisfy!
