Wow! I would've never guessed that Ryan Coogler's gangster/vampire flick would become the most nominated film in award history when I saw in April of last year! 

As much as I believe this film to be seriously over-hyped, it was something to see on the big screen. I thought the film was OK. It was a lot longer than it needed to be, but there's no denying that incredible "juke joint dance sequence"! Easily the highlight of the film! There is an incredible scene with the legendary blues musician, Buddy Guy that was unforgettable as well. The award season the past several years seems to really choose some of the most overhyped films, but I can say that the music and some of the technical aspects of the film truly deserve the hype though!
