Friday the 13th! It's the Summer season! Perfect time to re-visit Crystal lake in one of the most popular horror film franchises of all time!

As of right now there are 12 films in the franchise, a TV series, comic books, novels, video games and  tie-in merchandise and perhaps more could be added as there's supposed to be an announcement later on today perhaps regarding the franchise itself!

Die hard fans know that there's an unofficial trilogy within the franchise (actually there's three apparently). I never knew this until my podcast partner tipped me off to it. It's interesting how the events in these three Friday films take place over the course of one week, five years after the events in the first film take place.
