I was surprised that the Aviation Mall theatre in Queensbury got the new indie horror film, "Rosario"! I wasn't planning on heading to the theatres this past weekend, but this peaked my interest, mainly for my podcast.
"Rosario" follows the title character as a child celebrating her first re-union and the strange vibes she receives from her mom & grandmother. Fast forward many years later, Rosario is a successful Wall Street broker who finds out that her grandmother has died and has to return to her apartment until her body is taken away. While she's there Rosario finds some horrifying truths about her grandmother & her family! To say anymore would be unfair & blasphemous! Yes there's immigration & keeping one's own identity, but there's other deep & complex meanings as well. I don't want to spoil this for you.
This WILL NOT be in theatres long unfortunately so you must see this immediately!
If you're a fan of religious horror & supernatural, then "Rosario" is a must see! There's not one frame or second wasted in the films 88 minute running time. This is director Felipe Vargas' film debut and will be keeping an eye out for his films in the future!
