Vermont Musician Still Rocking With New Album Release titled Super Moon

The tradition of great music coming from the hills of Vermont is alive and well with long time songwriter and seasoned guitar player Rick Redington and his latest group Tuff Luv. Redington and Tuff Luv just recently dropped a live studio performance album called Super Moon. Super Moon was recorded live at The Underground-Listening Room in Randolph, Vermont.  The seven tracks on the album are all deeply personal songs all with their own stories, that if you see the band live you will most likely hear about.    The opening track, Mission Bell, was simply inspired by a broken chair in a corner and the inescapable 10 of 9 horn that sounds daily in Rutland, Vermont. The final track, the beautiful instrumental Strange Fate, has appeared in multiple Ken Burns documentaries. And also including a deeply personal song, Bubba's Flight, which is a song memorializing Redington's dear friend Bubba, with his picture on the back cover of the album.  The album itself has a great story being that the finished product that you hear was actually the recorded sound check set the band performed before the second take.  After hearing the raw energy of the band in the rehearsal set they decided to go with it and leave it as raw and unedited as possible truly capturing the talent of the four piece band.                    Tuff Luv on Supermoon is made up of Rick Redington on Vocals and electric guitar, Heather Lynne on Bass and a great vocalist and songwriter herself, Jay Osborn on Percussion and vocals, and David Lewis on Drums and vocals.   Rick Redington is a long time staple in Vermont of great music and exceptional guitar playing that always finds the true gems of musicians to back him up.  There have been many different lineups of artists helping Redington over the years but always bringing lots of Luv to their performances.  Look for Rick Redington and Tuff Luv playing around the state at parks and local concert festivals throughout Vermont and most weekends at the magical little cafe owned and operated by Heather and Rick called The Wild Fern right off of Rt 100 in Stockbridge, Vermont.  You can find a digital copy of Super Moon by going to rickredingtonandtuffluv.bandcamp.com or find vinal and CD copies anywhere the band is playing.
