Cameron Diaz is set to produce and star in a sequel to the cult-favorite comedy "Troop Beverly Hills," originally released in 1989. The project is in development at TriStar and will be directed by Clea DuVall. The original film, starring Shelley Long, follows a wealthy housewife leading a group of Wilderness Scouts, and despite initial poor reception, has gained a dedicated fan base over the years. Diaz's upcoming projects also include the dark comedy "Outcome" on Apple TV, featuring a star-studded cast.
