What Does BTS’ Upcoming Album Name, Arirang, Mean?

During a Weverse Live broadcast on January 17, BTS revealed new details about their upcoming album ARIRANG, including the meaning behind its powerful name.

Arirang is one of Korea’s most well-known traditional folk songs and is often described as an emotional anthem of the Korean people. Over generations, it has come to symbolize resilience, longing, unity, and the shared history of Korea — themes that resonate deeply both culturally and emotionally.

The group also shared that Jungkook personally designed the album’s logo, which reflects the Korean script for Arirang. Fans praised the design after learning how Jungkook’s original sketches evolved into the final version.

ARIRANG will feature 14 tracks and marks BTS’ first full-group comeback in four years. The album is set for release on March 20, with multiple physical editions planned, including Weverse-exclusive versions and a limited red vinyl release.
