The U.S. women’s soccer team won the gold medal at the Paris Olympics on Saturday (August 10). They defeated Brazil in a hard-fought 1-0 game, with Mallory Swanson scoring the winning goal and goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher coming up with a number of clutch saves. This is the fifth time the U.S. women’s soccer team has won Olympic gold, but it’s the first time winning the honor since 2012. Among the celebrities in the crowd for the game were Tom Cruise and U.S. soccer legend Megan Rapinoe. Did you tune into the women’s soccer gold medal game?
