Adele at the Super Bowl? The Rumor Is Out There

Rumors are swirling that Adele may headline the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show in Santa Clara. According to Page Six, she is currently in talks with the NFL and Roc Nation, but no official deal has been finalized.

This isn’t the first time Adele’s name has been tied to the big game. In 2016, CBS News reported that she told fans she had been approached about performing at Super Bowl LI but declined, saying the show “is not about music” and that she wasn’t the right fit for such a spectacle. The NFL later clarified that no formal offer had been made.

What makes the new rumor more compelling is the timing. The league typically announces its halftime headliners in the fall, and Adele’s global popularity and recent high-profile performances make her a strong contender. Still, as Business Insider has noted, her past reluctance raises questions about whether she would embrace a stage built around choreography and spectacle.

If it happens, fans can expect a halftime show built around Adele’s powerhouse vocals
