ustin Timberlake is reportedly preparing to tell his side of some of the biggest controversies of his career, including his infamous 2004 Super Bowl halftime performance with Janet Jackson.
According to Variety, Timberlake is set to release a four-part documentary series on Apple TV this December. The project is being described as a "tell-all" and will reportedly feature an interview with Janet Jackson about the incident that made headlines around the world.
During their 2004 halftime performance, Timberlake accidentally exposed Jackson's breast while pulling away part of her costume. The moment became known as the "wardrobe malfunction" and sparked widespread controversy.
Jackson faced significant backlash following the performance, including restrictions on her music and videos, while Timberlake's career continued with considerably fewer consequences.
In 2021, Timberlake publicly apologized to Jackson, acknowledging that he had failed her and expressing regret over how she was treated.
The upcoming series is also expected to address Timberlake's past relationship with Britney Spears, including comments she made about him in her 2023 memoir, The Woman in Me.
The four-part documentary is being directed by Fisher Stevens, who also directed the 2023 David Beckham documentary series.
While the series is reportedly scheduled to arrive on Apple TV in December 2026, an official premiere date and title have not been announced. Representatives for Timberlake, Jackson and Apple have not publicly confirmed the project.
With Jackson reportedly participating, the documentary could offer a new perspective on one of the most talked-about moments in pop music history.
