LL Cool J is set to host the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards solo, after previously co-hosting with Nicki Minaj and Jack Harlow in 2022. He is also nominated for the best hip hop award for his single “Murdergram Deux” featuring Eminem. The awards show will air on September 7, broadcast by CBS for the first time, and will feature Lady Gaga leading with 12 nominations. Other top nominees include Bruno Mars, Kendrick Lamar, ROSÉ, and Sabrina Carpenter. Fan voting is open across 19 categories, with voting closing on September 5. Performers, presenters, and the recipient of the Video Vanguard Award have yet to be announced.
