No Winner Again — Powerball Surges Past $1 Billion

The Powerball jackpot has surged to an estimated $1.10 billion for the Monday, September 1, 2025 drawing, making it one of the largest jackpots in history. According to NBC New York, the cash option stands at approximately $498.4 million before taxes.

The billion-dollar milestone follows yet another rollover in Saturday’s drawing, extending the streak of no jackpot winners since May 31, 2025. CBS News reports this will be the 39th consecutive drawing without a grand prize winner.

Powerball remains one of the most widely played lotteries in the United States. As ABC News notes, tickets are sold in 45 states, plus Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET from Tallahassee, Florida.

With summer winding down and the Labor Day drawing ahead, millions of players are hoping to cash in on this record-breaking prize.
