The Rutland South Rotary Club is proud to announce a major milestone and a bold new initiative in honor of its 50th anniversary. For over five decades, the Club has been a driving force in the community and beyond—raising thousands of dollars to support nearly 100 nonprofit organizations locally and globally.

Among some of their projects the club has:

  • Distributed hundreds of dictionaries to third-grade students
  • Enhanced the Rutland Creek Path for bikers and walkers
  • Built an outdoor play area for students at Northwest School
  • Provided essential school supplies to children in need

To mark its 50th anniversary, the Club is launching a significant philanthropic initiative: a $50,000 grant will be awarded to a nonprofit organization serving Rutland County.

This one-time grant aims to empower a local nonprofit with the resources needed to expand their mission, improve lives, and strengthen the community.

Deadline for applications is October 1, 2025

Eligible nonprofits serving Rutland County are encouraged to apply.

“We are incredibly excited to give back in such a meaningful way,” said Peter Tobin, President Rutland South Rotary Club, “This grant represents our ongoing commitment to service above self and to the betterment of our neighbors right here in the Rutland region.”
