📚 Heather’s Virtual Fall Book Club: Let’s Read The Secret of Secrets!
Fall is here, which means it’s the perfect time to curl up with a good book—and this October, I’m inviting you to read along with me!
I’m kicking off Heather’s Virtual Fall Book Club with Dan Brown’s The Secret of Secrets, the latest Robert Langdon thriller. And if you’ve never read a Dan Brown novel before—or you’re not necessarily a huge fan of his other books—I think this one is absolutely worth giving a try.
Our story takes us to Prague, where Harvard professor and symbology expert Robert Langdon has traveled with Katherine Solomon, a brilliant scientist who is about to reveal groundbreaking research about human consciousness.
But things go very wrong, very quickly.
A brutal murder rocks Prague. Katherine disappears. Her highly secretive manuscript vanishes. And Langdon finds himself caught in a dangerous race involving mysterious organizations, ancient mythology, hidden secrets and a terrifying figure who seems to have stepped straight out of Prague’s darkest legends.
Without giving too much away, the story eventually becomes much bigger than a simple murder mystery. It mixes science, mystery, history, mythology and some pretty fascinating questions about what happens to the human mind—and what might happen after we die.
Honestly, Prague might be the perfect setting for a spooky October thriller.
Picture ancient streets, shadowy alleyways, historic buildings, mysterious legends and a city filled with centuries of history. Brown uses Prague's architecture, mythology and atmosphere as an important part of the story, giving the book a dark, mysterious feeling that feels tailor-made for fall.
The best part of a virtual book club is that there's no meeting to attend and no pressure to keep up with everyone else.
I'll be checking in throughout October on the 98.1 JJR Facebook and Instagram pages, talking about the book, reminding you to pick up your copy and giving you plenty of opportunities to read along.
So whether you start on October 1st, October 10th—or you're reading it while everyone else is already halfway through—you're invited!
Grab yourself a copy of The Secret of Secrets, get cozy, and join me for a little mystery, a little science, a little history…and hopefully a lot of “I can't put this book down!”
